When a visitor enters a name or case number in a sponsored search tool, the query is sent to the independent provider operating that tool. That provider processes the query and returns any result through its own service. Lake County Court Docket does not maintain a database of the search terms entered into those tools or use those queries to create records about the people searched.

No Court-Record Data on File
Lake County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, sell, or operate a database of Lake County court dockets, case files, party histories, or personal court-record information. It publishes general reference information about official routes to the Lake County Trial Court, its divisions, and MiCOURT Case Search. A public MiCOURT result is informational rather than the official record, and this site does not retain or turn that result into a separate case-record file.
Michigan court access is governed principally by court rules. MCR 8.119 addresses trial-court record custody, inspection, copying, restrictions, sealing, and public access. MCR 1.109 defines court-record content and provides safeguards for personal identifying information. Court records are distinct from ordinary county FOIA requests: MCL 15.232 excludes the judiciary, including a county clerk acting as circuit clerk, from the FOIA public-body definition. The Lake County FOIA route is for covered county-government records, not a replacement for a judicial case-record request.
Third-Party Search Partners
Sponsored search tools on this site are operated by outside providers. Information entered into one of those tools is handled under the provider’s own privacy policy, terms, retention practices, and sharing rules. Lake County Court Docket does not control those practices. Review the provider’s policy before submitting a query or beginning a paid transaction.
